Our Awareness Courses

We offer a variety of awareness courses for a range of different conditions, including those regarding mental and physical health, or a combination of both. Our autism awareness course focusses on the development of children, looking at typical behaviours and how it is possible to support a child with autism through this diagnosis. We provide dementia awareness training, covering strategies to use with clients and how to deal with the challenging behaviour. Looking at physical health, our diabetes awareness course covers common symptoms, diagnosis, treatments and possible complications, and our strokes awareness course looks at the causes and symptoms to ensure a fast response in the event of a stroke, to minimise the long-term impact. We also offer an epilepsy awareness course, covering possible seizure triggers and what to do in the case of a seizure, as well as treatments and practical advice. Combining the mental and physical, we also offer drug and alcohol awareness courses, looking at the signs, legal and social implications, and policies that can be put in place to protect everyone in the workplace. We also offer courses on broad topics such as learning disability awareness and general mental health awareness.

Care Homes Courses

We offer a basic fire safety awareness course specifically for care homes, looking at prevention of fires that is specific to those working in care and residential homes. We also have a course specifically for fire marshals, which contains the same content as the basic fire awareness and fire extinguisher courses, specifically for fire marshals working in care and residential homes.

Our Safeguarding Courses

We offer courses on safeguarding for those working with both adults and children. The safeguarding adult course looks at what measures must be taken to protect adults in your care, ensuring they are supported and empowered. Our course on safeguarding children covers information about vulnerable children, looking at types of abuse, the signs of abuse and the safeguarding legislations that can help you to protect children. As part of our range of safeguarding courses, we offer training of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), covering who it affects, when it applies, how to access capacity and the procedures that can be put in place.
